About this product
PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a synthetic cyclic 7-amino-acid peptide, an analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 10 mg vial for laboratory research.
Structure
- Sequence: Ac-Nle-cyclo(Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys)-OH.
- Cyclic form. A lactam bridge between the Asp and Lys residues closes the ring, making the peptide more stable than linear α-MSH analogues.
Research areas
- Melanocortin receptor (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R) binding and activation studies.
- Central nervous system melanocortin signalling in preclinical models.
- Cyclic peptide stability and analytical method development (HPLC, MS).
Packaging
A sealed glass vial with an aluminium crimp cap. Every vial carries a batch number and expiry date.
For laboratory research only. Not for human or animal use.
