About this product
Melanotan II is a synthetic cyclic 7-amino-acid peptide, an analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 10 mg vial for laboratory research.
Structure
- Sequence: Ac-Nle-cyclo(Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys)-NH2.
- Cyclic form. A lactam bridge between the Asp and Lys residues closes the ring and increases resistance to enzymatic degradation. It differs from PT-141 only at the C-terminus, which is amidated here.
Research areas
- Non-selective melanocortin receptor (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, MC5R) activation – binding affinity and signalling studies.
- Melanogenesis (melanin synthesis) in melanocyte cultures.
- Structure–activity studies of cyclic peptides, comparison with α-MSH and PT-141.
Packaging
A sealed glass vial with an aluminium crimp cap. Every vial carries a batch number and expiry date.
For laboratory research only. Not for human or animal use.
- Purity confirmed
- Batch certificate of analysis (COA)
